Moose

📋 Draw moose seasons: GHAs 2A, 4, 5, 6, 6A, 7, 7A, 8, 9A, 10, 11, 15, 15A, 17A, 20, 27, 28 & 31A are all draw moose seasons (p. 40). Conservation Moose Licence Package ($97.25): two licences and one game tag allowing a shared harvest of one moose in general moose seasons (GHAs 1, 2, 3, 3A, 9, 17 and 17B); party up to four Conservation Moose Licence holders. Canadian and non-Canadian resident moose hunters must book through a licensed lodge/outfitter, be accompanied by a licensed Manitoba guide (max four hunters per guide). Licensed moose hunting is prohibited in designated portions of GHAs 9A and 10 (see pages 7 or 36). Deer Muzzleloader and General Deer Seasons in GHAs 26 and 36 extended, and second deer licence available in GHAs 17A, 26, 36 and third deer licence in GHA 26, to reduce white-tailed deer numbers (moose management). A GHA 23 or 23A Draw Elk or Landowner Elk Licence with a one elk or bull moose bag limit is not considered a Moose Licence.

Moose

📋 Moose registration: attach harvest tag, accompany whole carcass for registration at the first open tagging station or Natural Resources office by noon on the Sunday immediately following the moose hunting season, or register online (tooth submission within 14 days) (pp. 22-23). Designated hunter must be accompanied by the Moose Licence holder at all times while hunting; shall not hunt alone (p. 22). All non-resident moose hunters are required to hunt with a licensed New Brunswick guide (p. 23). Illegal to carry or use a firearm designed to fire a rim-fire shell or cartridge while hunting moose; not more than one firearm in possession during the moose hunting season (p. 22).
