1 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the TrueNorthHunter application or website ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2 Description of Service

TrueNorthHunter provides hunting-related tools including regulation summaries, zone maps, land information, hunt forecasts, harvest logging, and community features. The Service is intended for informational and recreational purposes only, and is provided to support legal and ethical hunting across Canada.

3 Legal & Ethical Hunting

⚠️ TrueNorthHunter supports legal and ethical hunting only. We discourage, and do not condone, illegal or unethical hunting in any form.

TrueNorthHunter exists to support lawful, responsible hunting across Canada. If a user is found to be engaged in illegal or unethical hunting practices, or to be using the Service to facilitate any such activity, we reserve the right to suspend or permanently remove that user from the platform at our sole discretion and without notice. Hunting is a privilege governed by law; every hunter must act lawfully, ethically, and respectfully at all times.

4 Regulation & Land Data Disclaimer

⚠️ Regulation and land data is for reference only and may be outdated or incorrect. Always verify with the relevant provincial authority before hunting.

We have taken utmost care in curating the hunting regulation data in this Service from the latest hunting guides published by each province and territory, and we have also consulted official government sources to gather data related to different types of land (including Crown land, public land, and private land classifications) across Canada. While we make every reasonable effort to ensure accuracy, we do not guarantee that the information is current, complete, or error-free.

It is the sole responsibility of every hunter to independently confirm all applicable hunting regulations, season dates, bag limits, licence requirements, and land status directly with the relevant provincial or territorial authority before hunting. TrueNorthHunter Inc. assumes no liability for fines, penalties, or legal consequences arising from reliance on regulation or land data in this Service.

5 Private Land Access

⚠️ Hunting on private land without permission is trespassing and is illegal.

Many areas across Canada are privately owned. If you wish to hunt on private land, you must obtain express written permission from the landowner or the authorized occupant before entering or hunting on that property, in accordance with applicable Canadian federal, provincial, and local government laws.

TrueNorthHunter Inc. does not grant, facilitate, or verify permission to access private land. The land data displayed in the Service does not constitute authorization to enter any property. It is your responsibility to confirm land ownership and obtain the required written permission before accessing private land.

6 Forecast & AI Disclaimer

⚠️ Forecasts and AI-generated content are guidance only and may be inaccurate. They do not guarantee hunting success and do not constitute professional advice.

Hunt forecasts, solunar ratings, weather conditions, and other predictions in this Service are carefully crafted based on scientific evidence and peer-reviewed research. However, hunting is inherently unpredictable, and no forecast can guarantee that you will find or harvest the game you are seeking. If a hunter is unable to find or harvest game, this is not our responsibility.

AI-generated content (including the AI chat advisor and species identification) is experimental and may be inaccurate. Always exercise your own judgment in the field.

7 Land Access & Map Accuracy

⚠️ Land status can change after our data is collected. Treat ambiguous land with caution.

The maps and land layers in this Service are provided for informational purposes. If our maps indicate that a particular area of land is huntable, it is possible that the land's status has changed after our data was collected (for example, due to a change in ownership, a new lease, a closure, or updated land-use designations).

You must take utmost care before harvesting any animal on land whose status is ambiguous, and independently verify current land status and access rights with the appropriate authority and, where applicable, the landowner.

8 Hunter Responsibilities

It is every user's responsibility to possess a valid firearms licence (such as a Possession and Acquisition Licence (PAL) in Canada) and all required hunting licences, tags, and permits before hunting. It is also your responsibility to complete the required hunter safety courses and to follow all ethical hunting practices in accordance with Canadian laws.

A hunter is personally and solely responsible for the legality and ethics of their own actions in the field. Nothing in this Service relieves you of your obligation to know and comply with the law.

9 User Conduct

TrueNorthHunter Inc. reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice.

User-generated content (harvest logs, photos, comments) remains owned by you. By posting it, you grant TrueNorthHunter Inc. a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it within the Service.

11 Subscription & Billing

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
