📋 Resident Deer and Game Bird Licence (Class 3): authorization required for antlerless deer; Non-Resident (Class 1): one deer per person per year, antlered deer only (p. 30). Resident hunters who want to hunt antlerless deer (does and fawns) must enter the Antlerless Deer Draw (apply before close of regular business hours on Aug. 21, 2026; fee $4 plus HST); non-residents are not eligible to hunt antlerless deer (p. 19). Persons who purchase Resident Deer Licences (Class 3) after the opening of the deer hunting season must wait 48 hours before hunting deer (p. 19). Within 24 hours of harvesting a deer: attach harvest tag to right foreleg and register the entire carcass at the first open deer registration station or register online (p. 19). Sunday hunting is prohibited on all Sundays except those that fall between Oct. 14 and Dec. 31, inclusive, in any year (p. 10).

📋 Moose registration: attach harvest tag, accompany whole carcass for registration at the first open tagging station or Natural Resources office by noon on the Sunday immediately following the moose hunting season, or register online (tooth submission within 14 days) (pp. 22-23). Designated hunter must be accompanied by the Moose Licence holder at all times while hunting; shall not hunt alone (p. 22). All non-resident moose hunters are required to hunt with a licensed New Brunswick guide (p. 23). Illegal to carry or use a firearm designed to fire a rim-fire shell or cartridge while hunting moose; not more than one firearm in possession during the moose hunting season (p. 22).

Wild Turkey Toutes les provinces →

📋 Wild turkey hunters may only hunt in the WMZ indicated on their licence. Shotguns gauge 10 to 28 inclusive with shot sizes #4 to #7; bow with draw weight of at least 10 kg (22 lbs); or crossbow with draw weight of at least 68 kg (150 lbs). May not use bait, traps, dogs, or organized drives. Hunting on Sundays during the wild turkey hunting season is prohibited. Hunter orange not required. Harvested turkeys must be tagged immediately (tag attached to leg), transported with beard attached, and the Mandatory Wild Turkey Hunter Harvest Report submitted by June 14. Licence expires May 22, 2027. Listed under the guide's 'Big Game' chapter.

📋 It is unlawful to be in possession of a firearm on board any watercraft on tidal waters, or within 50 metres of tidal waters during the closed season for migratory game birds described under the Migratory Birds Regulations (not including tidal waters of the St. John River upstream of the Reversing Falls Highway Bridge) (p. 10). Hunter orange requirement does not apply to waterfowl hunters (p. 8).
