Chasse au cerf de Virginie en Alberta
Les cerfs de Virginie de l’Alberta sont légendaires. La ceinture de parc entre Edmonton et la frontière saskatchewanaise, les terres agricoles du sud et la lisière boréale produisent des mâles massifs aux bois lourds : et les saisons générales permettent aux résidents de les chasser sans tirage dans la plupart des WMU, avec de longues fenêtres à l’arc et les célèbres chasses de rut de novembre.
Les saisons réservées à l’arc ouvrent généralement fin août ou le 1ᵉʳ septembre, les saisons d’armes à feu courent jusqu’en novembre, et certains WMU offrent des opportunités de biches sur permis spéciaux. La chasse au cerf de Virginie en Alberta : l’essentiel
- Fenêtre de saison : arc dès fin août/1ᵉʳ septembre ; saisons générales d’armes à feu jusqu’en novembre : la chasse au rut est l’événement phare.
- Le WMU 248 (comté de Strathcona, à l’est d’Edmonton) a une chasse spéciale à l’arc seulement : vérifiez ses règles particulières.
- Où : les WMU de parc à l’est d’Edmonton, le sud le long des vallées fluviales et la région de la Peace.
- Permis : carte WiN + certificat de la faune + permis résident de cerf via AlbertaRELM.

Parkland extra licence: 'Antlerless deer (WMUs 212, 247 and 248) licence' holders may kill two antlerless deer (either white-tailed or mule deer) with a bow and arrow (not crossbow) during archery-only season S1 - N30; 'WMU 248 white-tailed deer licence' holders may kill three white-tailed deer, only one of which may be antlered, with bow, crossbow, muzzle loader or shotgun in WMU 248 between O25 - D7 (p. 51).
